The Molly Love Room
Oh Molly Love! There are two versions of her story, and quite truthfully there is not enough documentation to confirm or deny either! One version is that she and her husband, Dr. J.S. Love, owned and operated a hotel in Red River Station during the days of the Chisholm Trail. She was known to care for cowboys that fell ill while passing through on the cattle drives north to Kansas, and was famous for her wonderful cooking and welcoming hospitality. The other version is a bit more colorful. Rumors exist that the Love Hotel was a notorious house of ill repute, and that Molly Love's welcoming hospitality was a bit more friendly than most!
So we will leave it up to our guests to decide which version of the story is the truth!
